MainTown Realty ("MainTown", "we", "us") helps people rent, buy and list properties in Nigeria. This policy explains what personal information we collect on maintownrealty.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

1. Information we collect

Sign-in details. When you continue with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from your Google account. If you use email instead, we collect your name, email address and a password (stored securely by our authentication provider, never in readable form).
Your role. Whether you signed up as a tenant, landlord or agent.
Your requests. Properties you select, booking dates, and the messages you send us on WhatsApp.
Basic technical data. Such as device and browser type and pages visited, collected through standard analytics tools.

We do not ask for ID documents, bank details or payment information on the website. Those are collected later, inside the MainTown app, with their own notice.

2. How we use it

To create and keep your login so you can sign in to the MainTown app when it launches.
To contact you on WhatsApp and by email about the property or service you asked about.
To confirm inspections, bookings and payments, which are currently handled manually by our team.
To keep the service secure, prevent fraud, and improve our website.

3. Google user data

We only request the basic Google sign-in information (name, email address and profile photo). We use it only to create your account and to contact you about your request. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it for any other purpose. MainTown's use of information received from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run MainTown, and only as needed: our database and authentication provider (Supabase), our email provider (Resend), Google (for sign-in), and WhatsApp (Meta) when you message us. Property owners or agents may receive the details needed to arrange your inspection or booking. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

6. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, withdraw your consent, or object to how we use it. To do so, email us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time. You can also contact the Nigeria Data Protection Commission if you have a concern we have not resolved.

7. Security

We use encrypted connections and access controls to protect your information. No online service can be completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

8. Children

MainTown is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
